It was only three weeks ago that I shared Nikki and Michael’s engagement session and I’m so excited to be able to share their wedding photos!!!
Nikki had always dreamed of a beautiful southern plantation wedding, but unfortunately their families could not travel. The engaged couple were thrilled to find Burnside Plantation in Bethlehem, PA – the perfect venue to bring a little bit of the south to the north!
The day I received their wedding invitation in the mail (love when couples send me a copy!), I knew that their wedding was going to be something amazing. Once I arrived on Saturday morning and saw the little pile of wedding details, I was in love.
Could these “Best Day Ever’ fans be any more adorable?! Not only were they super cute, but guests definitely appreciated having something to keep them cool as the temperatures soared.
PaperstreetPress did such an amazing job with the invitations – she even did calligraphy for the envelopes!
Nikki and Michael had ordered prints from their engagement session and instead of mailing them, I decided to bring them on the morning of the wedding. I don’t often get to see clients’ reactions as they carefully lift the cover off their black box and unwrap the blue tissue paper, so it was definitely a big deal! This moment also helped Nikki take a moment to breathe and put aside any pre-wedding jitters.
Once the bride-to-be finished viewing her prints, I cleared off the bed for a few fun bridesmaids photos. The natural light flowing through the window was so gorgeous and made the ideal setting!
The First Look is such a lovely moment to share. The bride and groom are able to focus on only each other and have some private time together before the ceremony begins. Prior to the wedding, Nikki had mentioned how much she was anticipating seeing photos of their first moments seeing each other and I know she is going to be thrilled!
To free up a little extra time during cocktail hour, we took a little bit of time to take a few formal photos. Allium Floral’s bouquets were so beautiful and the bridal party’s color combination and attire were perfect addition to a country wedding!
Daneene Makeup worked their magic on hair and makeup, with incredibly impressive timing. I just had to share photos of how amazing the results were!
All of these little reception details tied together so perfectly and really fit the Southern wedding feel they were going for.
Michael sang to his bride during their first dance. How sweet is that?!
The newlyweds and I snuck away for a few minutes for some ‘just married’ portraits. This allowed them to whisper sweet things to one another and have a bit of time alone as Mr. and Mrs.
A huge thank you to all of the amazing vendors who helped make this day so memorable for Nikki and Michael!
