After meeting Amy and Brett at their March engagement session at Illick’s Mill Park, I was so eager for the wedding. Amy and I spent the past few months chatting quite a bit, so by the time the wedding came, it felt like I was photographing a close friend.
We started off the day at American Hairlines Salon, then headed over to Hotel Bethlehem to get even more prettied up.
Amy’s mom and godmother presented her with thoughtful family heirlooms for her ‘something borrowed, blue, and new’.
We started to get ready to make our way to the Blue Grillhouse ceremony room and the excitement began to set in for everyone. It didn’t take long for happy tears to begin falling.
You would never in a million years guess that one of these two are uncomfortable in front of the camera, they are both such naturals!
Upon entering the reception room, I nearly melted. The layout was SO thought out, full of dozens of details. I may have mentioned before, that I love wedding details. Not only are they amazing to photograph, but it puts so much personality into a couple’s wedding.
The uplighting by Rockin Ramaley was phenomenal, really adding to the mood of the night.
Amy and Brett’s family and friends gave some of the most emotional, heartfelt speeches I have ever heard. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room, including mine.
Throughout the night, so many guests approached me, telling me what amazing people Amy and Brett are, continuing on with saying they were the ‘do anything for anyone’ type of people. Many also added how lucky they were to have such sweet and caring friends in their lives. You can always feel the couple’s love at a wedding, but the guests made it so clear how much they loved the couple as well!
